The Girl Behind the Lens

Hi! I'm Marissa of Marissa Lynn Photography. Lets see, I married to my high school (ok maybe middle school) sweetheart at the end of our junior year of college. In January of 2010 we welcomed our first little human(our fur baby Maverick is our loving Labrador), our beautiful daughter Brooklyn Amanda. She is the light and joy of our lives. For mothers day my family surprised me with my first DSLR and I've been hooked ever since. I was always that girl, you know, the one who always had her camera and would take like a million pictures. Sure some of my friends would groan in agony but if they were asked, I know they'd say they appreciate all the memories the photo's bring back.

I'm blessed with an amazing network of friends and family, they've been a great support system for me and my husband as we've been moving around the country. My husband is in the US Navy, he is an Engineer for the Civil Engineer Corps. We have grown, and learned so much about ourselves during this experience and are so thankful.

Let see, here are some fun random facts!
- I love chocolate, but it makes me break out.
- As a kid I was allergic to maple syrup
- My stories tend to bounce around a lot, it drives my husband crazy :)
- I love making new friends
- You will never see me eat a raw onion, gross!
- I have one sister, and two best friends that are basically sisters too
- I have to put chapstick on before I go to bed or else I'll take forever to fall asleep
